Everyone knows that I love food... I'm pretty sure one of my friends parents said that they never worry about me when I get lost at parties as they'll always find me at the buffet table. Which quite frankly is true... Whilst we lived in Warrington, we always looked for brilliant places to have dinner and whilst at work I stumbled across the Miller & Carter 'Dates & Steaks' menu. I instantly called Andy and stated how important it was that we go, he didn't really want to and so we compromised and booked our table for 8PM.
I have to say that Miller & Carter pretty much do the best steaks I've ever tasted. The staff are always helpful and the dining setting is cosy and romantic. All bonuses which make your dining experience very pleasant. The whole set menu costs a reasonable £24.95... especially considering that on the full price menu a normal steak is about £27. You can chose from a range of starters, mains and desserts.
Miller & Carter also have Veggie options available which is always a nice touch as not many 'meat' places tend to provide any sort of option other than lettuce!
Miller & Carter do have a dress code, which is smart casual (how do you even define 'smart-casual?!). However, most couples and families chose to dress up and were usually celebrating birthdays or anniversaries, which was lovely to see.

Andy decided to chose the Cluck & Duck Wings, the Sirloin Steak with beef dripping sauce, the bacon and honey mustard lettuce Wedge, and the Rich Chocolate Brownie.
I chose the baked cheddar mushrooms, the rump steak with peppercorn sauce and the parmesan and mayonnaise Lettuce Wedge along with the Rich Chocolate Brownie for dessert.
To drink Andy had his usual beer and I chose a glass of Rose Wine. Although the restaurant was extremely busy the food was served promptly and was absolutely delicious. It made a lovely Date Night and we're so glad we found this gem, literally hidden behind the big ASDA at the Westbrook centre.

I would highly recommend a visit to Miller & Carter, the food is delicious and so far I haven't found anywhere that does steak quite like it. The food is really reasonable priced and the date night menu is perfect for couples, and families, who fancy a lovely meal but don't necessarily fancying paying big bucks.
