Bellinis Cheadle - Oh So T Food Reviews

in , , by Tori Harrison, May 09, 2020

For my Birthday we wanted to explore more of the wonderful food places that Cheadle has to offer. Once of the places that we have often wondered past and thought 'ooh, I bet that is good' is Bellinis, located just off the main high street and opposite the church.

Bellinis is a traditional family run Italian restaurant and extremely reasonably priced. We luckily didn't need to book a table as this was a week day. However, despite it being a weekday Bellinis was still bustling with people coming in for meals and also picking up home deliveries.

Bellinis in Cheadle has an extensive Bar Menu with everything from spirits and beers to wine lists and cocktails. I chose a Sauvignon Blanc large white wine as my drink of the evening and Andy chose his key staple of a beer (I mean seriously of all the things to have on that menu and a beer is his choice!). That being said, it was a very good beer and one he hadn't had before so I guess him being able to add another beer on unTapped is a good thing.

As it was my Birthday I was able to decide if I also wanted a starter and since our time in Sorrento I have been obsessed with Bruschetta. I, of course, chose the starter and it was the largest Bruschetta I have had in the UK... It was massive!! The Bruschetta was very flavoursome and the balsamic vinegar really brought out the taste of the bread and tomatoes and the onions added a lovely twist to a classic which I really loved.

Then it was onto the main course and I chose the crab linguini - It was absolutely delightful. Probably, on par with the pasta we had in Sorrento and the flavours were just explosive but not overpowering. The portion sizes were also extremely good for the price and we were not left hungry at all on the night, in fact we even took home our left overs.

Bellinis has such a homely atmosphere and the interior design is very cosy with the warm lighting. The dining area is spacious with the tables far enough apart that you don't feel as if you are sitting on top of some dinners as you can do in some smaller venues. The bar area is also very spacious with stools at the bar for the busier nights and booths also in front of the bar if you wish to simply have a night of cocktails with the girls. The dining and bar area do not feel segregated from each other at all and everything flows in a very natural manner.

Bellinis is an absolutely exquisite gem hidden on Cheadle's high street and I really hope it stays around for a very long period of time. From speaking with the owners they have been in Cheadle for a little while and business is booming. I would love everyone to pop this gem on their to visit list once lockdown is over as they do deserve it massively.

I had such a wonderful birthday and want to thank the staff for making us feel so welcome on my special day. I can't imagine spending my Birthday anywhere else now and we cannot wait to pop in for our next visit once lockdown is over.

Until Next Time
